There's
a lot of talk about "squad goals" and "girl gangs" in fashion these
days — especially among models — but it truly does warm our hearts when
the industry's biggest names support each other's off-the-runway
projects. Kendall Jenner, whose gal pal Cara Delevingne
is starring in the highly anticipated "Paper Towns" (which hits
theaters this Friday), attended a screening of the film in Los Angeles
on Saturday, wearing a two-piece evening look from Zimmermann's fall
2015 collection that really caught our attention.
Despite
its sexy keyhole opening at the chest, the puff-sleeved, high-necked
top could have had an aging effect; but thanks to the double-slit skirt —
which allowed Jenner to show plenty of leg — and unfussy ponytail, the
full look had a witchy, '70s feel to it. To punch up the monochromatic
oxblood ensemble, the model added some metallic gold shoes by Tom Ford,
which injected just the right amount of red carpet glamour. By (mostly)
covering up on top and showing off her best assets (those legs), this is great a lesson in playing to your strengths when it comes to getting dressed.
When you're a model, two slits are better than one.
